Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Black Friday 2026: Ultra or Standard?

Bose QuietComfort earbuds for Black Friday 2026 split into two lines: the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, now in a 2nd Gen version from June 2025, and the standard QuietComfort Earbuds from 2024. The Ultra models carry Immersive Audio; the standard pair lists the longer battery at up to 8.5 hours. The older QC Earbuds II still circulate too.

The three models side by side

The QC Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) also take a 20-minute quick charge for up to 2 hours of listening. The 2024 QuietComfort Earbuds go further on a short charge: Bose rates 20 minutes at 3 hours, and a full charge at about 1.5 hours. They switch between Quiet and Aware modes or turn noise cancelling off, connect to two devices at once over Bluetooth 5.3, and offer a 5-band EQ and a Low Latency mode in the Bose app.

Getting the fit right

Fit decides how well noise cancelling works in any earbud, and Bose ships a fit kit to tune it. The Ultra Earbuds come with three pairs of eartips (small, medium and large) and three pairs of stability bands (sizes 1, 2 and 3). The sizes can be mixed, so a medium tip can pair with a size 3 band if that sits better. Bose Support offers extra small and extra large eartips for anyone outside that range. The 2024 QuietComfort Earbuds also ship with three sizes of eartips and stability bands.

A used or open-box pair may be missing parts of the kit. The listing should say which tips and bands are included.

Case charging is the easy one to miss

The first-generation QC Ultra Earbuds case charges by USB-C only. Bose sells a Wireless Charging Case Cover as an add-on that fits both the first-generation Ultra Earbuds and the QC Earbuds II. The 2nd Gen Ultra case supports wireless charging out of the box, as does the 2024 QuietComfort Earbuds case. Two listings for “QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds” can therefore differ in whether the case charges on a pad.

Bose includes a short USB-C cable but no power adapter with the Ultra Earbuds.

QuietComfort earbud colors

The QC Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) launched in Black and White Smoke, with Deep Plum as a limited color. The 2024 QuietComfort Earbuds launched in Black, White Smoke and Chilled Lilac, and later colors include Ice Blue, Petal Pink and Twilight Blue.
