Bose soundbars for Black Friday 2026 come in three sizes: the compact Bose TV Speaker, the Smart Soundbar at just over 27 inches, and the 41-inch Smart Ultra Soundbar. The two Smart models add Dolby Atmos over HDMI eARC and A.I. Dialogue Mode. The TV Speaker is a simpler bar that connects by optical or HDMI ARC.

The TV Speaker stands 2.21 inches tall and 4.02 inches deep and weighs 4.34 pounds, so check the gap under the TV before choosing it. An optical cable comes in the box; an HDMI cable for ARC is sold separately.
The Smart Soundbar launched in September 2024. It stands 2.2 inches tall, uses five drivers including two that fire upward for Atmos height effects, and applies TrueSpace processing to spread out non-Atmos sound. It also supports Personal Surround, which uses Bose Ultra Open Earbuds as rear channels.
The Smart Ultra Soundbar launched in September 2023 and was the first Bose bar with A.I. Dialogue Mode. It replaced the Smart Soundbar 900. It stands 2.3 inches high and just over 4 inches deep, and it connects to the TV with a single HDMI eARC cable. At 41 inches long, it suits a wide TV stand better than a narrow one, so measure the space first.

Adding bass and surround
Bose sells add-on bass modules and rear speakers, and compatibility differs by bar:
- Bose TV Speaker: Bass Module 500 or 700, by wired connection only, with the cable sold separately. No surround speakers.
- Smart Soundbar (2024): works with Bose bass modules and rear speakers, per Bose’s launch announcement.
- Smart Ultra Soundbar: connects wirelessly to Bose bass modules and rear speakers.
The Bass Module 500 page lists the Smart Ultra Soundbar, the older Smart Soundbar 300, 600, 700 and 900, the Soundbar 500 and the TV Speaker. It does not name the 2024 Smart Soundbar, so check the product page for that pairing before buying both.

Watch for newer and older versions
Bose model names repeat, and “Smart Soundbar” on its own can mean the 2024 bar or an older numbered one. Older bars such as the Smart Soundbar 300, 600, 700 and 900 still turn up as refurbished or open-box stock. The Smart Ultra Soundbar took over from the 900, so a listing that says only “Bose Smart Soundbar” needs a model number or a year before it can be compared.

Bose does not list Dolby Atmos for the TV Speaker. Atmos is listed for the Smart Soundbar and the Smart Ultra Soundbar, both of which use HDMI eARC for it.
Can I add surround speakers to the Bose TV Speaker?
No. Bose lists no surround speaker support for the TV Speaker. It can take a Bass Module 500 or 700, connected by cable, which is sold separately.
