The Beats Studio Pro is the over-ear Beats headphone with noise cancelling, a Transparency mode and lossless audio over USB-C. The lighter on-ear Solo 4 has neither noise cancelling nor the Studio Pro’s USB sound settings. For Black Friday 2026, choose by how much outside noise you need to block.
What the Studio Pro does
Beats released the Studio Pro in July 2023 as the fourth generation of its Studio line. It was the first Beats headphone to play lossless audio over a USB-C cable, using a built-in converter. Plugged in over USB-C, it offers three sound profiles: Beats Signature for music, Entertainment for films and games, and Conversation for calls and podcasts. A 3.5 mm cable works too.
On Bluetooth, the headline features are active noise cancelling and Transparency mode, which lets outside sound in when you need to hear a station announcement. Battery is rated at up to 40 hours with both off and about 24 hours with either one on. A 10-minute charge adds about four hours of playback.

Studio Pro or Solo 4?
The Solo 4 came out in May 2024 and sits below the Studio Pro. The main difference is the fit: the Solo 4 presses on the ear, while the Studio Pro cups around it.
| Feature | Studio Pro | Solo 4 |
|---|---|---|
| Fit | Over-ear | On-ear |
| Noise cancelling | Yes, with Transparency mode | No |
| Rated battery | Up to 40 hours | Up to 50 hours |
| USB-C listening | Yes, with three sound profiles | Yes, without the profiles |
| Spatial Audio with head tracking | Yes | Yes |
The Studio Pro’s earcups run smaller than many over-ear models, so a large-eared listener or a glasses wearer may want to check the fit at a store before buying. The Solo 4 folds smaller and lasts longer on a charge, which suits a commute where blocking noise matters less.
iPhone and Android
Beats is owned by Apple, and on an iPhone the Studio Pro pairs with one touch and shows battery status without a separate app. Android gets one-touch pairing through Google Fast Pair, and the headphones can be found with either Apple’s Find My or Google’s Find My Device. Android owners need the Beats app for firmware updates and control settings.
For earbuds instead, the Powerbeats Pro page covers the workout pair, and the Beats Black Friday hub lists the rest of the range.
Colors and the box
The Studio Pro launched in black, a dark brown, a blue and a sand shade, and Beats has used its own names for each. Match the color name in the listing to the photos, and check the box photos show the carrying pouch.
A short list before you commit: the words “Studio Pro” in the title, not just “Beats Studio”, since the line goes back several generations; sealed or clearly stated condition; a USB-C cable in the box photos; and a seller with feedback and a returns policy.
