Nespresso Original Black Friday 2026: Essenza Mini, CitiZ, Lattissima

Nespresso Original machines brew espresso and lungo from the smaller Original capsules, which many coffee brands now make. For Black Friday 2026, choose by how you take your coffee: the Essenza Mini and CitiZ brew coffee only, the Lattissima adds a built-in milk system, and the Creatista Plus adds a steam wand for latte-style drinks.

The Original lineup at a glance

Original capsules hold 5 to 7 g of ground coffee and brew a 1.35 oz (40 ml) espresso or a 3.7 oz (110 ml) lungo. That is the full cup range, so an Original machine suits espresso drinkers and anyone who adds milk.

Nespresso Original machines to compare

Original machines take the smaller Original capsules, not Vertuo ones. Check the model name in the listing title against the box, and look for the water tank and drip tray in the photos.

Small machines for espresso: Essenza Mini and CitiZ

The Essenza Mini is the compact choice. Breville lists two programmable cup sizes, and its Essenza Mini bundle (BEC250) adds an Aeroccino3 frother and a capsule tasting box.

The CitiZ by De’Longhi is a slim machine with a 19 bar pump and a 33.81 oz water tank. It heats in about 25 seconds and turns itself off after 9 minutes. The cup support folds into two positions, for a small espresso cup or a tall latte macchiato glass, and the used-capsule bin holds 10 capsules.

Machines that handle milk: Lattissima and Creatista

De’Longhi makes the Lattissima machines, which froth milk inside the machine, so there is no separate jug to heat. Lattissima has been sold in several versions, so check which one a listing names.

The Creatista Plus by Breville takes a different route. It has an automatic steam wand with 8 milk texture levels and 11 temperature settings, and it comes with a stainless steel milk jug. It measures 6.7 x 15.5 x 12.1 inches and heats in 3 seconds. Breville’s page does not call it an Original machine by name, but it brews Original capsules.

If you would rather add milk separately, an Aeroccino frother works with any machine. The Nespresso milk frother guide covers them.

Capsules: Original only

Original machines take Original capsules, including compatible ones from other brands. Vertuo capsules are larger and use a barcode, and they will not fit. For bigger mugs of coffee, the Nespresso Vertuo guide is the one to read. Both systems are explained in the Nespresso Black Friday guide.
