Galaxy Buds4 Pro are Samsung’s top earbuds, with a sealed canal fit and adaptive noise canceling. The standard Buds4 have an open fit, and the Buds3 FE are the lower-cost sealed model. For Black Friday 2026, choose the fit first, then check that your phone gets the features you want.

Pro, standard or FE

The Buds4 Pro and Buds4 launched in early 2026 alongside the Galaxy S26 phones. Both have active noise canceling (ANC), Bluetooth 6.1 and Auracast. The Pro uses a two-way speaker with a planar tweeter and adds Enhanced Adaptive ANC, which adjusts to how the buds sit in your ear. It is rated IP57, against IP54 for the Buds4.

The fit is the larger difference. The Pro seals the ear canal with tips, which blocks outside noise on its own. The Buds4 are open fit, so they rest in the ear and let more sound in, which some people find more comfortable over a long day.

The Buds3 FE sit below both. They use sealed ear tips, offer ANC without the adaptive mode and are rated IP54. Their charging case has no wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy Buds to compare

Galaxy Buds pair most fully with Samsung phones and still work with other Bluetooth devices. Check the model name and that both earbuds and the charging case are included.

Which phone gets which features

Your phone What you get
Recent Galaxy phone Full app control, Auto Switch, Samsung’s own codec, hi-res audio on the Buds4 Pro
Other Android phone The Galaxy Wearable app for ANC, EQ and fit test
iPhone Basic Bluetooth playback; no app, EQ or ANC settings

Samsung’s own SSC codec is supported across these models, but it needs a Samsung phone to work. On the Buds4 Pro, the 24-bit/96kHz playback mode also needs a compatible Galaxy device. Auto Switch, which moves the buds between your Galaxy devices, is a Galaxy feature too, as are the Interpreter live translation tools. If you use an iPhone, the extra features stay locked, so a cheaper model may suit you as well as the Pro.

Battery and case

The Buds4 Pro list up to 6 hours of playback with ANC on, or 26 hours with the case. The Buds4 list up to 5 hours, or 24 hours with the case. Talk time is shorter, at up to 4.5 and 3.5 hours with ANC on. For a watch that pairs with the same phones, see the Galaxy Watch page; other Samsung products are on the Samsung Black Friday hub.

Comfort and water resistance

Sealed buds come with several ear tip sizes, and on Android the fit test in the Galaxy Wearable app checks the seal. If tips feel tight after an hour, the open-fit Buds4 may be more comfortable, though they block less noise. For running or the gym, the water rating is worth reading: IP57 on the Buds4 Pro adds protection against brief immersion, while IP54 covers splashes and sweat.

Spotting the right pair

Earbuds are easy to mislabel, so read past the headline. The generation number (Buds4, Buds3) and the suffix (Pro, FE or none) should both appear in the title. Photos should show the case and both buds, with spare ear tips for the sealed models. A sealed retail box matters more here than for most electronics, since earbuds are worn in the ear. Check the seller’s returns terms and who handles the warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Do Galaxy Buds work with an iPhone?

They pair over Bluetooth and play audio, but the Galaxy Wearable app is Android only. On an iPhone you lose the EQ, noise control settings and the AI features.

Which Galaxy Buds seal in the ear?

The Buds4 Pro use a canal fit with ear tips, and so do the Buds3 FE. The standard Buds4 have an open fit that rests in the ear without sealing it.

Do Galaxy Buds charge wirelessly?

It depends on the model. The Buds3 FE case does not support wireless charging, while the Buds3 case does, so check the listing for the model you want.
