The Galaxy Watch9 is Samsung’s main 2026 watch, the Ultra2 is the larger titanium model for long battery life, the Watch8 Classic keeps a rotating bezel, and the Watch FE is the smaller entry model. For Black Friday 2026, pick the model, then the case size, then Bluetooth or LTE.

The four models side by side

Model Case What stands out
Galaxy Watch9 40mm or 44mm aluminum Up to 30 hours with always-on display
Galaxy Watch Ultra2 47mm titanium Up to 60 hours with always-on display
Galaxy Watch8 Classic 46mm stainless steel Physical rotating bezel, sapphire glass
Galaxy Watch FE 40mm Sapphire crystal glass, single size

The Watch9 and Ultra2 were announced in July 2026. The Watch8 Classic is from July 2025 and the Watch FE from June 2024, so check the generation number in every title.

Samsung Galaxy Watches to compare

Galaxy Watch models differ in case size, materials and whether they take a mobile connection. Check the model, the case size and the LTE label in each listing.

Which phone you need

A Galaxy Watch needs an Android phone. Samsung says no current model works with an iPhone, because the Watch4 and later rely on Google Play services. Recent models (Watch7 and later) need Android 11 or later.

Some health tools go further and need a Galaxy phone. ECG and blood pressure readings run through the Samsung Health Monitor app, which only works on Samsung Galaxy phones. With a Pixel or another Android phone, the watch still tracks activity and sleep, but those two readings are not available.

Bluetooth or LTE

A Bluetooth watch connects through your phone, so calls and notifications stop when the phone is out of range. An LTE watch has an eSIM and can take calls, send messages and stream on its own. To use it, your carrier must add the watch to a plan that supports smartwatches, usually for a monthly fee.

The Watch8 Classic and Watch FE both come in Bluetooth and LTE versions; the FE’s LTE model came a few months after the Bluetooth one. If you run without your phone or want calls on a hike, LTE is the version to look for. Otherwise, Bluetooth is simpler.

Case size and fit

Case size is about the wrist as much as the screen. A 40mm case suits a smaller wrist and is lighter to wear overnight for sleep tracking. The 44mm Watch9, and the bigger Classic and Ultra cases, give more room for maps and messages but sit thicker under a shirt cuff. If you can, compare the size against a watch you already own. Spare straps are sold to fit particular models and widths, so check that a strap listing names your watch and case size.

Reading the listing

Start with the generation number and case size, since the Watch9 comes in two. Then look for “LTE” or “Bluetooth” in the title; an LTE model bought for another country may not support your carrier. Check that the charger is included, and read the condition, seller feedback and returns terms. The Galaxy Buds page covers earbuds that pair with the same phones, and the Samsung Black Friday hub has the rest of the brand.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Galaxy Watch work with an iPhone?

No current model does. Galaxy Watch4 and later run on Wear OS and rely on Google Play services, so they need an Android phone. Recent models (Watch7 and later) need Android 11 or later.

Do all health features work on any Android phone?

No. ECG and blood pressure readings use the Samsung Health Monitor app, which runs only on Galaxy phones.

What does an LTE Galaxy Watch need?

An LTE model has an eSIM, so it can take calls and messages away from your phone, but only once you add it to a carrier plan that supports watches.
