Samsung’s Galaxy Tab range has three tiers: the Tab S12 models at the top, the Tab S10 FE models in the middle and the Tab A11 as the entry tablet. For Black Friday 2026, choose the tier by how you will use it, then check screen size, storage, and whether the listing is Wi-Fi only or cellular.
Three tiers, three uses
The Tab S12 Ultra (14.6 inches) and Tab S12+ (12.6 inches) went on sale October 7, 2026. Both have a Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen at 120Hz, an S Pen in the box and an IP68 rating. They work with Samsung’s keyboard covers and DeX, which gives a desktop-style layout for work. The Ultra adds Wi-Fi 7, and the S12+ has Wi-Fi 6E.
The Tab S10 FE (10.9 inches) and Tab S10 FE+ (13.1 inches) went on sale in spring 2025. They have a 90Hz screen, an IP68 rating and a 5G version, and Samsung sells a Book Cover Keyboard Slim for them.
The Tab A11 is a small 8.7-inch tablet with a 1340 x 800 screen at 90Hz. It suits reading, video and children’s apps more than note-taking.
Screen size changes how a tablet gets used. The 14.6-inch Ultra is close to a small laptop and works well for drawing or two apps side by side, but it is heavy to hold in one hand for reading. The 8.7-inch Tab A11 fits in a small bag and is easy to hold in bed. The two FE models sit between them.
Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets to compare
The Galaxy Tab S models are Samsung's premium tablets, while the Tab A line is simpler. Check the model, storage and whether the listing is the Wi-Fi or cellular version.

What to compare
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Exact model name | “Tab S12+” and “Tab S10 FE+” look alike in a title |
| Wi-Fi or cellular | Cellular versions need a data plan from a carrier |
| Storage size | Sets how many apps and offline videos fit |
| S Pen in the photos | Confirms the pen ships with the tablet |
| Keyboard cover | Sold separately unless the listing says it is bundled |
Wi-Fi or cellular
A Wi-Fi tablet works at home and on hotspots. A cellular model, sold as 5G on the S10 FE line or 4G on the Tab A11, has a SIM and can get online anywhere your carrier has coverage. It needs its own data plan. If the tablet stays at home, the Wi-Fi version is the simpler choice.
Storage and accessories
All three tiers take a microSD card, up to 2TB on the S12 and S10 FE models, so a smaller built-in capacity can still work for video and photos. Apps still install to internal storage, so leave room for them.
A keyboard cover changes a Tab S12 into something closer to a laptop. If you plan to type, budget for one, and check that its listing names your exact tablet, since covers are made for one screen size. For other Galaxy devices, see the Samsung Black Friday hub or the Galaxy Watch page.
Last look before you buy
- Is the model year clear? Older Tab S generations share the same naming style.
- Does the title give the screen size, so a Tab S10 FE is not mixed up with the larger FE+?
- Is it new, open box or refurbished, and is the battery condition stated for used units?
- Does the seller offer returns, and who handles the warranty?
