Samsung’s 2026 TVs run from Crystal UHD at the entry end, through the new Mini LED and Neo QLED ranges, to OLED at the top. For Black Friday 2026, decide on the panel type first, then the size, and read the full model code in each listing so you know which year you are buying.
How the ranges differ
Crystal UHD is Samsung’s entry 4K line, and the U8000H is the 2026 model. A QLED TV adds a quantum dot layer for brighter color. For 2026, Samsung added a Mini LED range (M70H and M80H) that sits below Neo QLED. The M70H is edge-lit, runs at 60Hz and has no quantum dots, so the name alone can mislead.
Neo QLED (QN70H, QN80H) combines quantum dots with a Mini LED backlight. OLED (S95H, S90H, S85H) uses pixels that make their own light, so each one can switch off for true black. Above these sit the 8K QN990H and the Micro RGB sets.
Samsung TVs to compare
Samsung sorts its TVs by panel type, from Crystal UHD through QLED and Neo QLED to OLED. Pick the panel first, then the screen size, and match the model number in the listing.

What to compare
| Range | What to check |
|---|---|
| Crystal UHD | Model year letter, refresh rate, HDMI ports |
| Mini LED | M70H or M80H, and whether quantum dots are listed |
| Neo QLED | QN70H or QN80H, size, refresh rate |
| OLED | S95H, S90H or S85H, and whether Glare Free is listed |
Matching the set to the room
Where the TV goes matters as much as the range. In a room that gets a lot of daylight, a bright LED-backlit set such as a Mini LED or Neo QLED model copes well with reflections. In a darker room used mostly for movies at night, an OLED’s deep blacks show at their best.
If you play on a console, look for a 120Hz or higher refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 ports in the listing. Some entry sets, including the 60Hz M70H, do not offer the higher rate. A faster panel also helps sports look smoother.
Picking a size
The 2026 U8000H launched in the US in 43 and 50 inches. The M70H comes in eight sizes from 43 to 85 inches, and the M80H in four sizes from 55 inches. The QN70H starts at 43 inches, and the QN80H runs from 55 to 100 inches.
Measure the wall or the stand before you choose, and check the width of the TV’s own feet or pedestal against your furniture. Compare the panel type as well as the screen size, since a bigger screen in a lower range is a different picture from a smaller one higher up. For an art-style set, see the Samsung The Frame page. The rest of the brand is on the Samsung Black Friday hub.
Before you order
A listing title that reads “Samsung 65 inch 4K QLED” can fit several sets from different years. Look for:
- The full model code, with H for 2026 or F for 2025.
- The panel type spelled out: Crystal UHD, Mini LED, Neo QLED or OLED.
- Condition, especially for open-box sets, where screen damage is a risk.
- Delivery terms, and whether a stand or wall mount is in the box.
Frequently asked questions
Is a Samsung Mini LED TV the same as Neo QLED?
No. The 2026 Mini LED M70H and M80H sit below Neo QLED. The M70H is edge-lit, runs at 60Hz and has no quantum dot layer, while Neo QLED pairs quantum dots with a Mini LED backlight.
Which Samsung OLED models have the Glare Free screen?
In the 2026 range, Samsung lists Glare Free on the S95H and S90H. Check the listing for any other model.
What does the H mean in a Samsung TV model number?
It marks the 2026 model year, as in QN80H or S95H. A code ending in F, such as U8000F, is a 2025 model.
