Picking the right size for your kitchen
The Vertuo Pop is the compact one. Its small 0.56 litre tank means more refills, but it heats in about 30 seconds and weighs 3.63 kg, so it is easy to move.
The Vertuo Next has the widest range, from a 25 ml ristretto to a 535 ml carafe for sharing. The De’Longhi edition sold with an Aeroccino at John Lewis is listed as not smart-enabled, so check a listing before counting on app control.
The Vertuo Plus has the largest tank of the three at 1.7 litres and a pod lever that closes automatically. Its 414 ml size is the one for a big mug, and the large tank means fewer trips to the tap on a busy morning.
Adding milk to a Vertuo coffee
The Vertuo Lattissima by De’Longhi has a detachable 0.7 litre milk carafe and three milk recipes, plus an Extra Hot Foam button. It is rated at 1450 W. For the other models, a bundle with an Aeroccino frother is the usual way to add milk, and Which? suggests buying one bundled if you drink milky coffee.
Pods: Vertuo only
