Bose QuietComfort headphones for Black Friday 2026 in the UK come down to two current models. The QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen), announced in September 2025, list up to 30 hours of battery. The QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen), announced in August 2026, list up to 24 hours and now include Immersive Audio. Older QC45 pairs are still around.
What the Ultra adds
Bose UK announced the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) on 10 September 2025. The battery is rated at up to 30 hours, 23 hours with Immersive Audio and up to 45 hours with noise cancelling off. Other features Bose lists:
- lossless audio over USB-C, at 16-bit and 44.1 or 48 kHz
- a Cinema mode for films and TV
- on-head detection that drops into a low-power standby when the headphones come off
- charging while they are being worn
- Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint for two devices at once
- polished metal yokes
What the standard model now shares
The QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) were announced on 6 August 2026. Their biggest change is Immersive Audio through TrueSpatial, with Still, Motion and Cinema modes, which Bose had kept for Ultra models until then. They use six microphones for noise cancelling and support lossless USB-C audio at up to 24-bit/48 kHz. Bose rates the battery at up to 24 hours, or 18 with Immersive Audio, and a 15-minute charge gives up to 2.5 hours. Bluetooth 5.4 brings multipoint and Google Fast Pair for quicker setup with Android phones. They keep physical buttons and oval earcups, and the USB-C to 3.5 mm cable in the box suits an in-flight entertainment socket.

Older pairs on sale alongside
| Model | Released | Note |
|---|---|---|
| QuietComfort 45 | August 2021 | USB-C charging; the battery cannot be replaced |
| QuietComfort Headphones (first) | September 2023 | No number in the name; 10 levels of noise cancelling |
| QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (first) | October 2023 | Up to 28 hours; spatial audio |
The 2023 QuietComfort Headphones and the 2026 2nd Gen share a name, so the generation should be stated on the listing. On a used QC45, the state of the battery is worth asking about, since it cannot be swapped.
QuietComfort headphone colours
Both current models come in Black and White Smoke. Bose also named limited colours at launch: Driftwood Sand and Midnight Violet for the Ultra (2nd Gen), and Eucalyptus Green, Dewdrop Mint and Rosewood Mauve for the standard 2nd Gen. Each limited colour belongs to one model, which helps confirm the generation. Availability of each colour in the UK can differ, so read the colour name on the listing rather than going by the photo.
