For Black Friday 2026 in the UK, Bose SoundLink speakers range from the bag-sized Micro to the Max with its rope handle. The current Micro (2nd Gen), Flex (2nd Gen), Plus and Max pair together in Party Mode. The Home stays indoors with no water rating, and the older Revolve+ II plays sound in every direction.
How the models compare
The figures below are Bose ratings, converted to metric where the source gives inches or pounds.
| Speaker | Battery | Water and dust | Size or weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Micro (2nd Gen) | Up to 12 hours | IP67 | About 10.3 x 10.3 x 3.9 cm |
| Flex (2nd Gen) | Check the listing | Check the listing | Between Micro and Plus |
| Plus | Up to 20 hours | IP67, floats | About 23.1 x 9.9 x 8.6 cm, under 1.8 kg |
| Max | Up to 20 hours | IP67 | The largest SoundLink |
| Home | Up to 9 hours | Not rated | Indoor speaker |
| Revolve+ II | Up to 17 hours | IP55 | About 907 g |
The Micro (2nd Gen) doubles the first Micro’s 6 hours to 12 and moves from micro-USB to USB-C. It has a removable strap for a bike or rucksack. The Max is rated IP67 against dust, water, rust and drops, and both it and the Plus can top up a phone from a USB-C port.

Linking two speakers
Party Mode sends the same sound to two speakers and works with any pair from the current family: Micro (2nd Gen), Flex (2nd Gen), Plus and Max. That means a Micro in the kitchen can play along with a Max in the garden. Stereo Mode, which splits left and right, needs two of the same model. The current family uses Bluetooth 5.3 or later with multipoint, a range of about 9 metres (30 feet), and the Bose app.
Two SoundLink Home speakers can pair for stereo as well. The Revolve+ II links only with other Bose speakers through the older Bose Connect app and is not on the current Party Mode list.
Home and Revolve+ II
The SoundLink Home launched in October 2024 as an indoor speaker. It has no water or dust rating, lists up to 9 hours of battery and takes wired audio over USB-C, so it suits a desk, shelf or bedside table.
The Revolve+ II is an older model with a carry handle and 360-degree sound, rated IP55 and charged over micro-USB. A unit for sale now is most likely older stock or second-hand.
The Micro (2nd Gen), Plus and Max use USB-C, so a phone charger with a UK plug will do the job if none is in the box. More Bose pages are on the Bose UK guide.
Before buying a SoundLink
Look for the generation in the title, since the Micro and Flex each have a first and 2nd Gen and only the 2nd Gen joins the current family. Match the charging port to the model. Check that the strap or handle is included, and whether the seller states UK stock and a warranty for refurbished or open-box units.
Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Can a SoundLink Micro pair with a SoundLink Max?
Yes, in Party Mode, which works with any two speakers from the current SoundLink family: the Micro (2nd Gen), Flex (2nd Gen), Plus and Max. For left and right stereo, Bose needs two of the same model.
Which SoundLink speaker suits a British summer outdoors?
The Micro (2nd Gen), Plus and Max are rated IP67 against dust and water, so a rain shower is not a worry. The SoundLink Home has no water or dust rating and is meant for indoors.
